International Bach Chamber Music Festival

Conductor Walsh from the United States, who specializes in conducting Early music, took the initiative of establishing a Bach Chamber Festival choir, remarkably gathering singers from the finest collectives in Latvia, like "Kamēr", "Sola", "Maska", "DeCoro", "Ave Sol", the Emīls Dārziņš' mixed choir. and the professional State Choir "Latvija"
Christopher Walsh is a welcome addition to the musical scene in Riga, and he has been active. His primary vocation is conductor of the Emīls Dārziņš' mixed choir, but he is also singer in the award-winning "Kamēr..." youth choir. Walsh also finds time to sing in the Anglican Church choir. Walsh holds a Master's in choral direction from Northwestern University, and his pedagogues and mentors include Māris Sirmais, Donald Nally, Ethan Sperry and others.
This concert will feature selections from the likes of Claudio Monteverdi, Heinrich Schutz and J.S.Bach.
