The DURBE Russian Language Academy has over 20 years of experience in international language tourism. It is recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Latvia and is proud to be an accredited member of EAQUALS  – an international association of institutions involved in language education. EAQUALS accreditation allows us to be up-to-date with the latest field trends and guarantees the highest possible quality of education.


The Durbe Russian Language Academy is located in the heart of the capital of Latvia- RIGA. Just across the street lies the National Opera House on one side and the central train and bus station on the other. Just one block over is the central building of the University of Latvia, which is mirrored by a park that is directly across from the Old Town. You are also lucky to have a big shopping mall (Origo) nearby, where you can find everything the might need during your language stay, including stationery, restaurants, and cafes.

The academy is located on the second floor of a historical building. It has got 10 bright classrooms, all equipped with necessary learning technology. Students have a computer room, a library and free Wi-Fi. A water dispenser is also provided. The school offers several accommodation possibilities, including a Shared Flat, in-house ResidenceHost FamiliesShared House and a Hotel. You are well on your way to getting maximum progress in Russian in an excellent environment.

Maximum students number per class  Maximum 8 (summer up to 10);
Mini group courses – maximum 5.
School holidays

Year 2018: School is closed for Group and Individual lessons: January 1, March 30, April 2, May 1, May 4, November 19. All group courses end on December 21, 2018, and resume on Monday, January 7, 2019. There is no reduction in course fees or compensation when a course includes a public holiday except individual lessons which are rescheduled.
