By the way, in Kraslava you may visit the swimming pool to stretch your muscles, as well as to take a relaxing steam bath in the sauna.

    Do you know that the author of one of the world the most expensive painting ‘’Nr 6 (Violet, Green and Red)’’, Markt Rothko was born at Daugavpils? This painting was sold for 140 million EUR in the year 2014. Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre is a multifunctional complex of contemporary art, culture and education situated in the Arsenal building at Daugavpils Fortress. It is the only place in Eastern Europe where the original masterpieces of the famous painter and the founder of the abstract expressionism Mark Rothko can be seen.
  3. Nature Park ‘’Daugavas loki’’. Do you remember that your Russian language school at Lielborne Manor has a unique location on the territory of the Nature Park ‘’Daugavas loki?’’
    Nature Park “Daugavas Loki” was created to preserve the unique natural complexes, natural, cultural and historical values and little transformed landscapes of the ancient valley of the Daugava on the site of Naujene to Kraslava. The bends of the ancient valley of the Daugava are considered to be the oldest geological formations in Latvia. The Nature Park “Daugavas Loki” was recognized as the NATURA 2000 territory in 2004, but in 2011 this park was included in the Latvian National UNESCO World Heritage List
  4. The Museum of Military Vehicles. World War II military equipment private collection is unique in the fact that the objects are found in the former battlefields and skillfully restored. Here you can see Soviet army tanks, battle attack landing cars, all-terrain vehicles, and other military vehicle guns and equipment units.

5.. “BURTNIEKI” active recreation track fo riding on quad bikes and buggies is located only 7km away from Daugavpils. The track “Burtnieki” is a great place for outdoor activities with family, friends or even colleagues.
