Boren Scholarships to learn Russian

💡 Hello! If you’re a U.S. student who wants to study Russian in Riga (Latvia, Europe),  this post is for you. Every year we have a pleasure to teach Russian to the students from the USA . They successfully got Boren scholarship for their immersion Russian language program in Riga.

What Are Boren Scholarships?

Boren Scholarships, supported by the U.S. Department of State, help U.S. undergraduates passionate about foreign languages and cultural immersion. So you have a great chance to apply for Boren scholarships to learn Russian in Riga!

Types of Boren Scholarships to learn Russian

Scholarships come in two varieties:

  1. Boren Scholarships:  are for students who wish to study in countries outside Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. You have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture, language  for a semester or an entire academic year.
  2. Boren Fellowships: If you prefer longer commitments, these fellowships are here to help graduate students follow language-focused programs.

How and Where to Apply to Boren Scholarships?

To start on this amazing journey, begin by visiting the official Boren website. There, you’ll find all the application details, and instructions you’ll need to start the process. Be sure to plan well in advance!

  • The application deadline for the Boren Scholarship is January 31, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. ET.
  • The application deadline for the Boren Fellowship is January 24, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. ET.
