Hey! We would like to share with you feedback from our student Natasha. She’s from the USA and had an amazing time learning Russian at our school over 10 weeks.

I highly recommend the Russian Language Academy BORN. I started my Russian from scratch this summer, and my instructors were professional, effective, and encouraging. This was my first time in Riga, and the team at Russian Language Academy BORN was extremely communicative and accommodating.

I also highly recommend doing a homestay – if you’re looking for language immersion in Riga, there’s no better option. My host mother made me feel very welcome and found a great balance of encouraging me to practice my Russian while giving me the space I needed to relax at home. She also doesn’t speak English, which meant I was fully immersed while at home. Ludmila was also a fantastic cook – she often made dumplings from scratch and prepared juice from her own apples.

Finally, the school’s common space and coordinated break times encourage students to get to know each other. Students come from around the world and have diverse professional backgrounds, and enrich the Russian Language Academy BORN experience. I couldn’t have asked for a better language school and homestay.
